Year-End Hosting Notes is written and maintained by the editorial team at Get Out! Events, a Singapore company that plans company events. We wrote these notes for colleagues who find themselves hosting a big evening on top of their usual work.

How we write

The notes offer general guidance based on the kinds of decisions hosts commonly face. They do not quote statistics, client names or testimonials, and they do not replace advice from your venue, your suppliers or the relevant agencies.

Checking rules

Rules for venues, food, permits and public spaces change. Before you commit to anything, confirm current requirements with the venue and with agencies such as the Singapore Food Agency, the Singapore Police Force or the Singapore Civil Defence Force.
